ALL OF THE WEIRDEST ANIMAL CAFÉS IN SEOUL
In South Korea, Coffee Culture is a huge part of life, so it doesn't come as a surprise that Seoul is known for its eccentric cafes, its beautiful cafes, its Instagram-worthy cafes, and, you've guessed it: its animal cafes. Dogs, Cats, Bunnies, Meerkats and more, this list sum up all the different animal cafes that you can currently find in Seoul. Please note that the parrot cafe (Wanggwan) and the Galapagos cafe (reptiles) that you might have found in different lists are actually both permanently closed down as of this date. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy some of the weirdest animal cafes I've ever seen.
1.bUNNIES
BUNNY CAFÉ - 토끼카페
Admission fee: 30 minutes for 6,000 KRW (5$), 1 hour for 9,000 KRW (8$). Rabbit food for 2,000 KRW (1.78$).
Opening hours: Everyday // 1:00pm – 10:00pm
2.SHEEP
THANKS NATURE CAFÉ - 땡스네이쳐카페
Species of animals: Sheep
Admission fee: No admission fee, but you'll be expected to order something, which is great because most of their food and beverages are actually good (6,000/15,000 KRW , 5/15$)
Opening hours: Everyday // 11:00am – 10:00pm
3.RACCOONS
Hongdae Raccoon Cafe - 블라인드앨리
Species of animals: Raccoon and Dogs
Admission fee: 6,000 KRW, around 6$
Opening hours: Everyday // 12:30pm – 10:30pm
4.MEERKAT
MEERKAT FRIENDS - 미어캣프랜즈
Species of animals: Meerkat, Genet, Wallaby, Arctic fox, Snow Bengal Cat, Raccoons,...
Admission fee: No admission fee, but you need to purchase a drink (8,000/10,000 KRW or 7/9$)
Opening hours: Everyday // 12:00pm – 10:00pm
5.reptiles
KOOPET - 쿠펫 강남점(삼성동)
Species of animals: Salamanders, Snakes, Turtles, Lizards, Chameleons, Frogs, ...
Admission fee: No admission fee, this is more a store than a cafe since you can't touch the animals, but there is a small cafe inside of the store and a lot of people come here to admire the reptiles. They also have special classes geared towards children on the weekends where they can interact with the animals.
Opening hours: Everyday except for Mondays// 11:30am-9:00pm
6.DOGS
CLOUD WITH SKY - 구름 뜬 하늘
Species of animals: lots of different dog breeds that rotate with 6 permanent residents.
Admission fee: No admission fee, but you will be expected to order something (~7000 KRW/6$)
Opening hours: Everyday// 11:00am-10:00pm, closes at 11:00 pm on Satudars and Sundays.
7.CATS
Godabang Cat Cafe - 고양이다락방 명동점
Species of animals: lots of different Cat breeds.
Admission fee: Mandatory drink ( ~9000 KRW/8$)
Opening hours: Everyday// Mon - Thu:10:00am - 13:00pm Fri - Sun:12:00pm - 10:00pm
