My Mother is an esthetician and she owns a beauty clinic in Brussels. She sells some k-beauty items, but doesn’t like selling items she hasn’t tested out herself for a few months at least. She recently bought a lot of Eco Your skin products and they look very unique and aesthetic and their ingredient formulas are interesting so I stole one of her masks and decided to try it out myself.

Sodium Polystyrene Sufolnate: This is a film former and binder that makes this tightening mask dry the way it does.
Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract: Excellent at stimulating adipocyte (fat cells) production and reducing inflammation of the skin. It promotes body volume by a cosmetic lipofilling-like effect. It stimulates adipocyte differentiation and proliferation, and promotes lipid storage leading to an increase of volume in the fatty tissue.
Soy Isolavones: Antioxidant and depigmentation effects, this compound prevent ultraviolet (UV)-induced pigmentation from appearing by inhibiting the enzyme that produces melanin. 1.After cleansing your face, pat your face dry.
2.Apply a thin layer to your face and neck, careful to avoid your eye and lip areas.
3.Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, as the mask works to lift and firm skin.
4.Rinse it off using tepid water with your hands or with a gentle sponge.
5.Follow it up with your serums, essences, and moisturizer!

This mask feels extremely tight when it completely dries down, don’t use it for more than 10 minutes as it will leave your skin noticeably red if you do so. Also, try not to move your face when you put it on to maximize the effect. The sensation strongly resembles that of the Orc Pack Tight Skin mask, with the added benefit that it’s very easy to slide on and remove.

‘Originally designed as a concept product that was meant to stimulate facial muscle cells to contract, it was eventually added to the line’s permanent collection because of it’s astounding (and instant) effects! This lifting and firming mask is ideal for those who struggle with a loss of elasticity and sagging skin. It acts like a corset for skin that works to tighten skin immediately upon application. The main ingredient of this wash-off mask is Multi EX Phytrogen (a vegetable filler), which works to give skin resilience while keeping fine line and wrinkles at bay. It also includes volufiline, an ingredient that fills in fine lines, helping skin instantly appear smoother and younger. Over time (and with repeated use) it helps to firm skin and reshape it’s silhouette without the use of fillers or injections.’

1.Astounding and instant effects: The effects are not astounding, I was not surprised or amazed, but they are pretty great, not more, not less (for one use). But yes, the results are instant, after the 10-minute mark, your skin is noticeably firmer and ‘‘pulled’’.

2.Lifting and firming, ideal for loss of elasticity and sagging skin: I completely agree and support this claim, I wouldn’t say I have sagging skin, but my dermatologist has remarked that my skin isn’t exactly full of elasticity, and this mask really helped in lifting it up.

3.Multi EX Phytrogen (a vegetable filler), which works to give skin resilience while keeping fine lines and wrinkles at bay: Check the ingredient remarks above as well as the link to the study. Multi Ex Phytrogen has been proven to promote cell growth in the mammary glands and maintain female hormonal balance. If you click on some of the ingredients in this mix, or if you read the short resume of what the first one does (Soy Isolavones), you’ll notice that a lot of these ingredients have been shown to activate the collagen and elastin production pathways, and other ingredients have been used both orally and topically in the successful treatment of postmenopausal symptoms. So strictly speaking from concrete examples and evidence, I would agree that this mix would probably work to give skin resilience (which it achieves after 10 minutes) and in keeping fine lines and wrinkles at bay in the long run (which I can’t prove because that would take years).

4.Volufiline, an ingredient that fills in fine lines, helping skin instantly appear smoother and younger: Your skin will appear smoother and younger after 10 minutes, but the results aren’t INCREDIBLE, again, they’re very nice, very satisfactory, but I feel like advertisement on such products makes you think you’re going to look 10 years younger in 10 minutes and that just isn’t the case. This is more than a little pick me up, it picks you up a lot, I agree, but not to a jaw-dropping effect. As for volufiline, please check out the study (link above in interesting ingredients) because it’s full of information, but, yes, basically again I would agree, older wrinkly skin looks the way it does in great part due to loss of fat which makes it look less plump, since volufiline promotes fat cell proliferation, it would theoretically help with this in the long run.

5.Over time (and with repeated use) it helps to firm skin and reshape it’s silhouette without the use of fillers or injections: Honestly, I’ve used this mask 2 times a week for a month and I personally have seen some firming of my skin. It’s nothing drastic but it’s an optimistic result.

I had some irritation and minor acne on my skin the first time I used the Facial Pilates mask, and it did not irritate it whatsoever. However, it’s important to note that my skin was red for a good 10 minutes in certain parts of my face where the mask had cracked as it dried down, but the redness went away after that.

I really like this product, I will keep on using it until I run out and will probably repurchase it. I will say something though, I don’t like paying a certain amount of money for something if I can get the same result while paying less. I’ve tried the Orc Pack Tight Skin by A'pieu mask and the results are basically the same, check out this link, everything I said about the A’pieu mask applies to this one, and Orc pack costs 7.99$. However, Facial Pilates actually has ingredients that will improve my skin in the long run, it is a quick fix for when you haven’t had a good night of sleep, but the ingredients and results I’m getting suggest that this is also something that will help my skin in the long run, and that’s something I’m more than happy to put my money on.

🧘🧘🧘🧘Score: 4.5/5 --- I love this product, it would have gotten a 5.0 if it completely smoothed out my fine lines when I use it instead of ‘‘blurring them out’’, but no product can do that yet (except for fillers). So yes, If I wasn’t as expectant and picky as I am I would probably have given that a 5.0, but I am so…. 4.5 it is.
