+INGREDIENTS
Ingredients of the Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream: Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Emollient), Glycerin, Squalane, Glyceryl Stearate (Emollient + Emulsifying), Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate (Emulsifying), 1,2-Hexanediol (Solvent), ♦️Stearyl Alcohol, Carbomer (Viscosity Controlling + Emulsion Stabilising), Arginine, Caprylyl Glycol (Moisturizer/Humectant + Emollient + Deodorant)
☁️In-Depth Details Of Interesting Ingredients:
Glycerine: Widely used as a quality Hydrator (occurs naturally in skin, and its chemical structure attracts water). You can find this ingredient in most good skin-replenishing products.
Squalane: Naturally produced by the body (production slows dramatically after age 30), repairs, deeply moisturizes, and has anti-aging benefits.
Arginine: Antioxidant + Hydrating (acts as a humectant (chemical structure attracts and entraps water molecules)) + Anti-aging (increases collagen production through different pathways)
♦️Controversial Ingredient:
Stearyl Alcohol: It makes your skin feel nice and smooth, stabilizes oil-water mixes, and gives body to them. It's a so-called fatty alcohol - the good, emollient type of alcohol that is non-drying and non-irritating. +how to use the Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream
+what does the Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream do?
Claims are taken from the product page of Vegreen.
1.An intensive moisturizing daily cream: Although the ingredient list is straightforward, this is probably one of the most moisturizing moisturizers I’ve ever used. By that, I mean that it is occlusive and will seal in any other product/hydration you layer on beneath it. You will never feel the need to reapply it because it literally does not budge: I used it at night and during the day, and in both cases, I ended my day or woke up with moisturized skin. The only con this brings is that when I wore this to go to the gym, I found myself sweating more from the face because of the ‘occlusive’ barrier it produced. But the good news is that even that didn’t make me break out, so it is probably a safe product for people with acne-prone skin like mine.
2.For anyone, anywhere, anytime: The Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream is very layerable, so you can put as little or as much as you need to satisfy your moisturizing needs. But I disagree with this claim for two reasons: while I found it completely bearable with my combination skin, I think people with very, very oily skin won't like it. The second reason is that this cream is very good at what it does, so if you live in a very humid place (where you probably don't need a moisturizer this powerful), it might make your face sweaty.
3.Will not cause skin irritation: It’s impossible to guarantee that a product won’t cause irritation with 100% certainty. Still, this cream has a very low chance of it because its ingredient list is very simple, and the only ‘actives’ it has (Glycerine, Squalane, and Arginine) are naturally produced by our own skin. The rest of the ingredients are also very common in many skincare products (from eye creams to serums) and have been tried and tested throughout the years. So I agree with this claim up to a point but if you have very sensitive skin, always do a patch test to be 100% sure.
Nowadays, skincare is more complex, and companies try to attribute different properties to all products they release: moisturizers become serum-like, and toners become moisturizer-like. I’m all about these innovations, but it makes it harder for people to find good essential moisturizers that moisturize well instead of doing an abundance of other things in an average way.
If you’re looking for a very good cream that has low chances of irritating your skin or interacting with other products you’re putting on it, you’ll love the Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream.
My philosophy when it comes to moisturizers is that they should moisturize effectively. If they have other claims, I tend to doubt their occlusive abilities because something that is occlusive isn’t supposed to penetrate deeply enough in the skin to be able to give me the results a serum or a toner could.
⭐Recommendations based on skin type and concerns:
🩹Skin with hyperpigmentation or scars: Won’t improve either, but it will serve as a good occlusive cream to seal in other products you’re using. The best product I’ve ever tried for these concerns is the SOME BY MI Galactomyces Pure Vitamin C Glow Serum.
Skin with texture issues (bumpy skin): Won’t improve your skin texture. Check out the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner instead. It’s super effective and gives you fast results.
🧠Mature skin types: The capacity of our skin to moisturize itself decreases with age, so I think this is a great product to enhance it.
🏜️Dry skin types: This cream has been formulated for you. Chances are you’ll love it.
⛰️Acne skin types: While it didn’t break me out, I don’t think you should be adding on a moisturizer this powerful to your acne routine (unless you also have dehydrated skin). Check out this post for product recommendations for acne: [10] Anti-Acne products that actually work + A Skincare routine. And this toner for limiting acne formation.
👉👈Sensitive skin types: You’ll probably really like it, and it has a very low chance of irritating you.
😬Normal skin types: This is a good everyday moisturizer to maintain the health of your skin, but it won’t give you ‘better’ or ‘nicer-looking’ skin.
☯️Combination skin types: You’ll probably like it.
🛢️Oily skin types: I think this cream is too occlusive for you to be comfortable putting it on your skin.
+BENEFITS:
Will seal in any other product you layer beneath it
Excellent moisturizer
Doesn’t evaporate or budge from your skin until you wash your face
A little goes a very long way
No nonsense ingredients (essential oils, fragrance)
Easily layerable
Has low chances of irritating or breaking you out
-CONS:
Will make your face sweat more if you work out
☁️☁️☁️☁️Score: 4.0/5 ———I really like this cream. I think it’s one of the best occlusive moisturizers I’ve ever tried. I’m not giving it a full score because it’s not suitable for people with oily skin or very humid weather, unlike what it claims. I also prefer my moisturizers to give me a bit more of a dewy glow.
